Paintings in oil and watercolours, expressionist style

With a background in fashion design and sewing, I integrate fabrics, ribbons, threads and lace into my canvases and masks.
I work intuitively, guided by gesture.
The gesture and materials I use gradually lead me to build a world.
A dialogue develops between the canvas and myself, and the unconscious comes into play. The result is a story, sometimes joyful, sometimes sad, always with a playful side.
Anything is possible.
These stories belong to each of us and to our collective memory. Each person reads the work according to their own history. In this way, the work leads viewers to reflect on their own and collective memories. Love, hate, transformation or liberation may ensure, depending on the emotion aroused. It is a cathartic process.
My fingers feel and explore the materials as I work. In addition to paint, paper, pastels, threads, ribbons, lace and fabric, I use leaves, dried flowers and other natural elements, drawing from nature’s infinite source of textures, shapes, smells and colours.
