Eligible artists and craftspeople must

• have a workshop or place where they create and produce, which is accessible, safe and pleasant and where they can receive visitors in one of the three municipalities in the circuit;
• or be prepared to create a space in a resident artist’s workshop who agrees to invite you;
• be a visual artist or a craftsperson;
• have an original, personal and on-going artistic production and a sufficient number of recent works to present;
• present a complete document.

The participants’ commitment

• To be present in their workshop, or that of their host, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the circuit for resident artists. The invited artists must be present at least during the two weekends, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Receive visitors with respect in terms of cultural mediation by combing exhibition and creation, the artistic life experience, a demonstration of the work and handling of tools;
• Due to the limited resources of the organization, participate actively in one of the 4 following committees: financing, promotion, installation and group exhibition, or take on other tasks agreed upon with the organization committee;
• Attend the vernissage / launch;
• Present only their own work;
• Present a piece of their work in the group exhibition;
• Pick up, install and bring back the posters and their supports;
• Record and provide the information requested on the number of visitors or others;
• Agree that the information and photos supplied can be used for promotion activities;
• Confirm their participation by filling in the google formby December 17, 2023.

Cost

• An annual contribution of $200. This amount is used almost exclusively to cover the costs of promotion and installation.
• The cheque must be made out to Le Boulevard des Arts and sent by February 29, 2024, to Louise Charlebois at 850 ch. de la Tourelle, Saint-Armand, Qc, J0J 1T0.

Le Boulevard des Arts’ commitment

• To organize, carry out and promote the activity;
• To produce a pamphlet with a map presenting the addresses and artistic discipline of each participant, to be widely distributed.
• Present the participants and their work in the region, the Eastern Townships, Montérégie, Greater Montreal and Vermont, by using several means of communication such as our Internet site, social networks, press releases in the media and advertising announcements in newspapers and magazines.
