The call for proposals to participate in Le Boulevard des Arts 2025 is open from October 14, 2024, to November 17, 2024.
Le Boulevard des Arts
The purpose of Le Boulevard des Arts is to offer artists and craftspeople in the regions of Dunham, Frelighsburg, Saint-Armand and Stanbridge East, as well as their guests, opportunities to forge links with the community and showcase their know-how and creations.
It is a circuit of workshops that will open their doors in Dunham, Frelighsburg, Saint-Armand and Stanbridge East, for two consecutive three-day weekends, that is, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, on September 5, 6, 7 and 12, 13, 14, in 2025. If they wish, local artists and craftspeople may invite other artists and craftspeople into their studios. The latter must also submit a proposal to participate and be approved by the selection committee. A group exhibition allows visitors to discover the work of all the participants.
To be eligible, artists and craftspeople must:
- Have an accessible, safe and pleasant workshop or place where they create and produce their work, where they can receive visitors, in one of the municipalities of the circuit
- Or, be invited into the workshop of an artist in the circuit area and be prepared to set up a temporary workshop for the 6 days of the open house
- Have an original, personal and ongoing artistic production and sufficient recent works to present
- Submit a complete document
- Submit 10 photos of recent works, indicating the photo they would like to see in the flyer, as well as 3 photos of themselves at work in their workshop or next to one of their works. Minimum 300 dpi.
The participants’ commitment
- Be present in their workshop or the host workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the circuit
- Greet visitors with respect, in cultural mediation mode, combining exhibition and creation, the artistic life experience, a demonstration of the work and handling of tools. More specific instructions will be provided upon proposal acceptance.
- Contribute actively to the circuit’s organization by devoting at least 7 hours of volunteer work for tasks agreed on with the coordinator
- Attend the vernissage / launch
- Present only their own work during the open house days
- Present a work in the group exhibition
- Pick up, install and bring back the posters and their supports
- Record and provide the information requested on the number of visitors or other aspects
- Agree that the information and photos supplied can be used for promotional purposes
- Confirm their participation by filling out the Google form by November 17, 2024

Cost
- Annual contribution of $200
- This must be paid by e-transfer to the Boulevard des Arts by March 1, 2025
Le Boulevard des Arts’ commitment
- Organize, carry out and promote the activity
- Produce a flyer with a map containing the address and artistic discipline of each participant, to be widely distributed
- Present the participants and their work in the region, the Eastern Townships, the Montérégie, Greater Montreal and Vermont, by using several means of communication such as our website, social media networks, press releases and advertising in newspapers and magazines
- Provide participants with the required signage material
