Painting and oil printing techniques

My artwork combines a variety of techniques, including painting, wood engraving, stencils, stamps and collage. They are mixed-media works. In my paintings, I express the spiritual nature of life, drawing inspiration from the art of the great civilizations. I work mainly on Japanese paper, which I then mount onto a stiffer paper (Strathmore). My works are generally composed in similar hues, that is, in different shades or tones of the same colours. Symbolic forms of imaginary figures, decorative motifs and invented hybrid forms convey a sensitive intuition of the sacred.
