Textiles: plant prints and shiboris

A mixed media artist for over 30 years and recipient of several awards, my work is part
of numerous private collections both nationally and internationally. Since 2015, my
practice has evolved toward a new approach, and I have since become a textile artisan. I
explore this medium through printing, dyeing, shibori, rust, and tannins.

I walk, I gather, I source, I transform, and I create directly from nature. There is
something mystical in this relationship between nature and art… Creating one’s own
artistic medium through botany relates to “slow art,” to the origin of things, to alchemy,
to art rooted in its territory, and to reflection.
Based in Sherbrooke since May 2023, I am making the territory my own by planting
flowers and cultivating my artistic medium. My project for the coming years will be
deeply rooted in the Estrie region and in my place of creation.
