Trained as a set designer, art has always been part of my daily life. I worked for many years as a costume designer for Quebec’s performing arts scene, and I also enjoyed creating atmosphere and texture through carefully chosen lighting.
My love of beauty led me to acquire a tableware boutique, Atelier Bouffe in Sutton, which I ran for over 13 years.
I enjoy creating spaces and atmospheres shaped by light, which led me to design lighting fixtures. One day, I discovered ceramics, and during my explorations, I was amazed by the luminosity of my first porcelain lampshade. When illuminated, porcelain emits a soft, translucent light in subtle shades of warm amber white.
I explore transparency by texturing the clay, making each piece unique. My current work focuses on exploring how texture affects translucency and the delicate gradations of amber-white tones that result from these variations.
