Atelier Michel Dupont

Intaglio, relief, and collagraph prints

Michel Dupont is a self-taught painter and engraver. After exploring and experimenting with several printing techniques, in the 1980s he became interested in paper as a material to be transformed.

This new aspect of his work led him to make his own paper by hand. Strongly influenced by bas-relief, he developed a technique halfway between printmaking and painting to create unique works with dynamic surfaces.

His works are included in several private and public collections in Canada, the United States, and Europe, notably at the Museum of Modern Art (New York, USA).
