Multidisciplinary mosaic, with recycled materials and glass
For as far back as I can remember, I have always drawn. It is my engine and my fuel, allowing me to tap deep into my creativity, which I express through drawing, watercolour, dance, poetry and, above all, mosaic art.
Except for dance, which was my livelihood for many years, I am self-taught, having developed my art through books and workshops over the past 40 years.
Absolutely EVERYTHING around me inspires me to create, but mosaic, which has been my favourite medium for the past ten years, is the art form that inspires me the most, because of its accessibility and the way it represents everything we are as a civilization: thousands of little pieces that form a whole.
This ancient art form belongs to everyone. Whether it’s to decorate a utilitarian object, cover a small or large surface, express a way of seeing, celebrate beauty in all its forms, or highlight what is hidden, mosaic, for me, must be useful and accessible to everyone. It is an art that allows me to use a wide variety of techniques and materials. I can cover one centimetre or one kilometre, depending on the piece I want to create…
For me, it is the art of freedom!
